Writing the Sacred

Utah Olympic Park 5K Hill Climb
Start Date: May 01, 2008 End Date: May 23, 2008, Sponsored by: Utah Olympic Park

Runners, walkers and strollers are invited to go for the gold or silver in the second annual Utah Olympic Park Hill Climb on Saturday, May 24 at 8am. The uphill race begins at the Park City Visitor's Center and ends at the top of the Nordic jumps for the gold 5K course or at the welcome plaza for the silver 2.5K course. Participants can celebrate with a ride downhill on the zipline or alpine slide. Proceeds benefit the National Sports Foundation. Art Challenge

The Swaner EcoCenter invites all Summit County students to participate in the Swaner Nature Festival Art Challenge. The 2008 themes are Swaner Wildlife and You and Nature. All art will be displayed and winners announced at the June 21st Swaner Nature Festival. Prizes will be awarded for each grade level. Summer Camps

The Park City Cooperative Preschool open registration for Summer Camps has begun. Camps run Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 am-12:45 pm and are $100 for coop and $130 for non-coop families. A special big kid only camp for grades K-3 is being offered June 16th and Preschool Camps begin June 23rd . Visiting Author Series

The Park City Library's visiting author series continues with Jack Todd, author of "Sun Going Down" on Wednesday, May 21 at 7pm. Based on journals, diaries and letters of his own family, the novel follows three generations as they endure the hardships of pioneer life on the Nebraska and Wyoming plains.

4th Annual Swaner Nature Festival
