  On the  Morning Mix this week,  the in-studio musical guest is Salt Lake City-native, Brooke Mackintosh. Other guests include Jeffrey Howrey (aka...Dr Bob) and Greg Freeman talking about the Dr Bob Reunion show this weekend. Also a call with Charley Freshman of the Canonneers of the Wasatch, who perform an integral part of the Utah Symphony's performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, taking place at Deer Valley's Outdoor Amphitheatre Friday night.

 The musical guest this week is Alicia Stockman. Anna Wilson and Monty Powell are in to highlight their innagural TrouBeliever Festival taking place at Snowbasin Resort on August 3rd and 4th featuring 9 musical acts including Shawn Colvin, Rodney Crowell, and EmmyLou Harris. Also a conversation with Ben Anderson, a local musician  spearheading a fundraising concert next week at The Rockwell Room with Anders Osborne and Luther Dickinson to benefit Anders Osborne's Send Me A Friend initiative for musicians in recovery.

This week The Morning Mix is taking their show on the road!  JW and Christie broadcast live from Abravenel Hall in downtown Salt Lake City with the Utah Symphony as their live musical guest. They also speak with singer, musician, and author  Rick Springfield, who's performing with the Symphony Friday night in Park City at the Deer Valley Music Festival. Additional interview guests include Toby Tolokan- Vice President of Artistic Planning, Leslie Petersen- Vice President of Development, and Paula Fowler- Director of Education and Community Outreach.
