The Local News Hour - September 20, 2016

On today's Local News Hour, host Renai Bodley talks to Valley Behavioral Health director Dodi Wilson about Monday night's community forum on teen substance abuse and suicide prevention.  Then Scott Loomis, Executive Director of Mountainlands Community Housing, previews tomorrow's ribbon cutting of a new affordable apartment project in Kimball Junction, "Richer Place Apartments."   And finally, Insa Riepen with Recycle Utah gives the lowdown on how you should get rid of unused prescription medications and why flushing them down the toilet isn't an option you should exercise.

Below is more information on the support group Dodi Wilson mentioned:

CONNECT brings together Summit County residents who are concerned about mental health issues facing our community. We are family members, loved ones and friends of people struggling with mental illness. We are mental health service providers in Summit County. And we are people not directly affected by mental illness who recognize the serious challenge facing our community. All of us want to see improved mental health services with greater accessibility in Summit County.
