One of Park City’s last residents from the town’s mining era has died. Mable Larsen Sundstrom passed away last Saturday, July 21st, at the age of 103.

Sundstrom passed away at her daughter’s home in Sandy.

She was born August 20th 1914, in the community of Elkhorn in Wasatch County—later known as Hailstone Junction north of Heber. She was the fourth of nine children.

She married Albert Sundstrom on Christmas of 1932 in Park City. They had four children. Her family ultimately included 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at Noon at the Olympic Park LDS Ward on Monitor Drive in Park City. A viewing is set for Wednesday 6:00-8:00 pm and Thursday, 10:45-11:30 am at the church.
