After 17 years with Sundance Institute, wearing many hats from volunteer music cafe manager to Managing Director, Sarah Pearce will be resigning next month.
According to a note from Sundance Institute director Keri Putnam, Sarah Pearce’s last day will be March 10th. She has agreed to stay on as a consultant for the next several months as her position is replaced. Pearce says she’s leaving to pursue other interests.
Putnam wrote that Pearce’s contributions to Sundance have been extraordinary - adding that Pearce’s supportive leadership, passion for finding solutions and dedication to the Institute's mission stand out.
Putnam says the team will be restructured with Sarah’s participation and advice. Betsy Wallace will be taking on an expanded role to serve as Managing Director in addition to her role as CFO. The Institute will be hiring a Director of Operations to oversee the Film Festival and Lab operations.
While Putnam is sad to see her go, she says Pearce has told her she is ready for a new challenge.
