Looking for something to do when you need a break from the mountain? We have put together some fun and different ideas on what else you can do in Park City...

HISTORY & TOURS

Ghost Tours: For a spooky good time make sure to check out the local ghost tours where you can hear about Lizzy the ghost who lives at the Imperial Hotel.

2002 Olympic Games Legacy: Re-live the Olympic Games by visiting the Utah Olympic Park, walking around the Olympics Welcome Plaza and seeing an Olympic plaque at Park City Mountain Resort.

Culinary Tours: Enjoy the cultural and historical perspective of Main Street and indulge in the taste of several restaurants as well. Beautiful art, relaxing spas and other fun highlights of Main Street are also on the tour. 

Park City Museum: Located in the heart of Main Street, this museum will take you through the history and heritage of mining to skiing in Park City.

INDOOR & ACTIVE

PC MARC: Stop in for a fitness class at the Park City Municipal Athletic & Recreation Center. This facility has a three-lane track, climbing wall, tennis courts, gym and game room.

Basin Recreation Fieldhouse: This modern athletic center offers a state-of-the-art indoor turf field, cardio machines & weight room, 2 lane running track, a golf simulator and bounce houses for the kids. 

Park City Ice Arena: Head over to the ice skating rink for Open Skate, a drop-in hockey game or even to try curling. The Park City Pioneers, the semi-pro hockey team, also practices and has games at the rink. 

OUTDOOR & ACTIVE

Snowshoeing: If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Take in the beautiful views on a guided tour or adventure on your own on the hundreds of miles of trails Park City offers.

Dog Sledding: This unique adventure is perfect for all ages. Glide through the mountain on a sled pulled by a pack of adorable dogs. 

Fly Fishing: Wear your winter clothes and try something different from the typical winter activities. Transportation, guide and lunch included.

Snowmobiling: Hit the mountains on something other than your skis or snowboard. Enjoy a scenic and guided tour through the mountains and experience the exhilaration of snowmobiling. 

Gorgoza Park: Take a short trip to Gorgoza Park for some family fun. There's snow tubing, mini snowmobiling and even Fort Frosty for the little ones. 

Alpine Coaster: A mini coaster winds through nearly 4,000 feet of curves, bends and loops of mountain scenery at Park City Mountain Resort. This ride is a thrill seeker's dream. 

WESTERN

Cowboy for a Day: Ever wish you could be a cowboy for a day? You can learn to groom and track a horse properly, try your hand at basic ground work and attempt the basics of herding. Or just take a nice horseback ride and explore Park City. 

"Glamping" at the Yurt: Stay the night at the Yurt. Just bring the essentials and some buddies for an overnight adventure. 

ART & SHOPPING

Park City Gallery Stroll: This free community event give you the opportunity to explore Park City's exciting art scene. It takes place the last Friday of every month.

Public Art: Here in Park City we have numerous public art displays around town…Franz the Bear Bench, Sound Garden and the Transit Center Mural just to name a few. Take a look at the Park City Public Art map on  parkcity.org and have a fun adventure meandering around town finding all the public art displays. 

Shopping: Don’t forget your credit card because there is some great shopping in Park City.  1) Walk Main Street and stop in at the local art galleries, souvenir shops, clothing and gear stores;  2) Head out to the Tanger Outlets for discount shopping of national name brands;  3) Stop by Redstone Shopping Center and Newpark area to catch a movie, stroll art galleries or browse through shops ranging from gear to kids toys;  4) Bonanza Park offers a variety of ski shops and a few boutiques 

The Egyptian Theatre: The Egyptian Theatre hosts a variety of theatre, comedy and musical shows. Attend a live show or special event at this historic landmark on Main Street.

Park City Film Series: Check out a film at the Park City Library and Education Building where PC Film Series is presenting the best of independent feature, documentary, world and local cinema. 

Park City Performing Arts: Enjoy a performance at the Park City Performing Arts Foundation at the Eccles Center. Dance, music, comedy, authors, filmmakers, global and cross-cultural spectacles are just a few of the shows that the Eccles Center offers. 

Kimball Art Center: Visit the heart of Park City's historic and vibrant arts community. The center hosts a variety of exhibitions that both serve artists and art enthusiasts. 

NATURE

Swaner Nature Preserve & EcoCenter: Visit this breathtaking nature preserve where wildlife – including fox, moose, coyote, birds, owls, and deer - is abundant. Make sure to check out the exhibits inside the EcoCenter for interactive displays.
