Recycled Tire Turf Going In At Dozier Field: Some Parents Have Health Concerns

Park City High School’s Dozier Field is getting new turf this summer.  The product being used is called Crumb Rubber which is essentially recycled tires commonly used in artificial turf all over the country.  The school district received comments from residents expressing concern over the selection of the recycled tire product stating their concerns that the crushed tire contains carcinogens and that conclusive testing of health impacts is not available.
