  • This week on The Community Campfire, we celebrate the extraordinary career of Park City High School music teacher Chris Taylor with a moving tribute from former students, colleagues and the man himself. We hear how his early morning jazz rehearsals, tough love and dedication helped shape professional musicians and passionate music lovers alike. Plus, Coach Skinner gives us the skinny on spring sports playoffs, and we close the hour with an interview with Nick Talbott from Americana duo The Talbott Brothers, whose new album "Borderlands" drops today.
  • Music teacher and Park City legend, Christopher Taylor has 30 years of teaching music under his belt and now it's time to retire. Through interviews with former students and professional musicians, Andrea Buchanan tells the story of Taylor's influence over the decades and how he has shaped the lives of so many in Park City.
  • This Mother’s Day, The Community Campfire gathers around the stories of six remarkable women from Utah’s Wasatch Back. Each one offers a powerful glimpse into motherhood — not as a perfect ideal, but as a living, breathing journey of resilience, hope and heart. Plus, Coach Skinner's skinny on sports, Friday fun facts, Mother's Day dedications, and the campfire kids.
  • Meet Doug Coleman, a stuntman and magician whose wild ride from hitchhiking to Hollywood turned into a career crashing cars, leaping off buildings, and chasing adventure — all with heart, humor, and a little fake blood. We introduce Jonas Wright, our new KPCW Bilingual Reporter, and hear stories from his time as the BYU mascot. Mary Beth Maziarz stops by to talk about her Park City Song Camps for young musicians and plays a set for The Campfire Music Sesh. And as always, fun facts, local sports, and fresh takes from our campfire kids.
  • Jonas Wright, former BYU mascot Cosmo the Cougar, shares a memorable story from his mascot days and discusses his new role as KPCW’s first full-time bilingual reporter. He reflects on his journalism background, his passion for the Latin American community and his excitement to engage with local residents through his reporting.
  • This week on The Community Campfire, meet Ken McCarthy, the driving force behind the beloved trail network in Heber Valley, whose passion for the outdoors has inspired a community. Hear the story of Matt Lindon, a true Summit County original who’s called Park City home since the ’70s and played a key role in building Deer Valley Resort. Gather around for a soulful music session with Salt Lake City artist Spencer Paul, blending psych-folk vibes and heartfelt lyrics. Plus, get your local sports fix and enjoy some laughs with the always-entertaining Campfire Kids.
  • Matt Lindon shares his journey from Long Island to Park City in the late 1970s, where he embraced the ski bum lifestyle before helping design and build Deer Valley Resort as a civil engineer. He reflects on the town’s transformation from a quiet, tight-knit ski haven into a high-end destination, while still valuing its friendly spirit and hoping to preserve its unique energy.
  • One of the greatest shows in town every year is the Park City Follies. Spring time is Follies time and many of the original people who began the follies are still with the production today. Oh the stories!!!!
  • This week, we pull back the curtain on the “Park City Follies,” the 25-year theater tradition that lovingly roasts all things Park City. Coach Skinner is back with the skinny on sports, and our campfire kids are always full of surprises. Plus, the Campfire Music Sesh features singer-songwriter Travis Van Hoff.
  • This week, a liver transplant highlights the healing power of community. Madeline Jaquet has the skinny on sports, and laugh along with our campfire kids. Plus, local musician Bryon Friedman drops by the studio for this week’s musical performance.
