A car accident Saturday evening on Highway 40 in Wasatch County resulted in one death.
After a head-on collision at Daniels Canyon on Highway 40, around 6:30 Saturday evening, both directions of traffic were closed for nearly three hours.
While heading westbound, a sedan crossed into eastbound traffic and collided with a pickup truck.
The driver of the sedan was killed in the crash. The other driver sustained “incapacitating injuries,” but is expected to recover.
Witnesses saw the sedan swerving before the accident. Utah Highway Patrol says they are investigating the cause, but they suspect alcohol is a contributing factor.
