Thanks to quick thinking and quick action Wednesday afternoon; Pinebrook residents were able to avoid a disaster.
Around noon, a trailer sitting in the driveway of a home in promontory caught on-fire. The owner of the trailer was a contractor. Officials say that the contractor had enough foresight to jump in his truck and move the trailer away from the home and the nearby scrub oak, helping prevent a brushfire.
Station 33 and station 35 units were quick to respond and put out the fire within the hour which helped prevent additional further damage. At this time the cause of the fire is unknown.
