Construction To Start on I-80, Affecting Commute To and From Salt Lake

Utah Department of Transportation

Drivers traveling between Park City and Salt Lake City should start to plan ahead for their commute.

The Utah Department of Transportation is starting major construction on the I-80 and I-215 Renewed Project in Salt Lake.

After Memorial Day, drivers will see lane shifts on I-80 between 1300 East and 2300 East. Both westbound and eastbound traffic will have to use the outside lanes of the highway so crews can work on the center of the roads starting Tuesday night.

Work on the road will continue during the day and night through the end of 2022.
