COVID Related Hospitalizations Stay The Same With New Cases Continuing A Downward Trend

On Monday, the Summit County Health Department reported 13 new COVID-19 cases. Wasatch County posted nine.

The Utah Department of Health reports 462 more cases than yesterday, with nearly 362,000   Utahn’s testing positive since they’ve been keeping records. The rolling 7-day average for positive tests is 951 per day. More than two million Utahn’s have been tested, with 6,644 people tested Sunday.   Five hundred twenty-five thousand people have received vaccines representing 1,033 more than yesterday. Two hundred seventy-four people are hospitalized with COVID-19. Fourteen thousand two hundred nine have been hospitalized since the pandemic outbreak.

Two men between 65 and 84 years-old have died since yesterday from COVID-19. Both were hospitalized. One man was from Weber County and one from Utah County. Summit County has reported eight deaths in total and Wasatch County sits at 19, which is no change from yesterday. A total of 1,796 Utahn’s have died from the disease.
