Deer Valley Summer Operations To Begin In June

KPCW

Deer Valley announced Thursday afternoon plans to start summer operations in June.

Deer Valley says this summer the resort will offer lift-served mountain biking, hiking and scenic chairlift rides, outdoor dining, rooms, and shopping. The resort is planning that all operations will take extensive measures to comply with COVID-19 cleaning, operating procedures and guidelines subject to local ordinances.

All Deer Valley managed lodging will become re-open Monday June 1, The Deer Valley Grocery-Café will open June 6. The only retail provider to open for the season will be the Main Street Signatures shop opening June 19.

Lift services for mountain bikers and hikers are expected to open on June 26 daily through Labor Day and then Saturday and Sunday's operations only through September 20. Capacity on the mountain will be limited, parking and in person ticket purchases will only be available at the Snow Park base, with no services available at the Silver Lake area. Bike rentals and lessons will be available exclusively through the Snow Park rental shop.

Dining at the Royal Street Café and the Silver Lake Snack Shack will also open starting Friday June 26.

No other restaurants will open for the summer season.

“We have been working diligently to offer a summer experience on the mountain this year and altering our operations to comply with all COVID-19 safety standards and guidelines” said Deer Valley President and COO Todd Shallan. “Although operations will look a bit different than in years past, we are very much looking forward to opening the resort once again and welcoming guests back to Deer Valley.”

Deer Valley will not be providing any concerts at the Snow Park Amphitheater or Summer Adventure Camps. More information can be found on Deer Valley’s website.
