E. Coli Detected In Water Supply At Soldier Hollow Complex

The Utah Department of Environmental Quality reported Thursday that a boil order is in place for the Soldier Hollow Complex. The order was issued by the Charleston Water Conservancy District and includes Soldier Hollow Grill, golf course and the Olympic Venue.

The contamination of E. coli was detected Wednesday afternoon, and was a result of a construction accident on Tuesday that broke distribution pipes.

Those who visited the Soldier Hollow Complex between 3:30 on Tuesday August 13th and 6:00 pm on Wednesday August 14th are being asked to monitor their health for possible E. coli infection. Symptoms include cramps, diarrhea, nausea and headaches. If you did visit during that time and are still feeling ill, it is recommended you seek medical advice.

KPCW reporter David Boyle covers all things in the Heber Valley as well as sports and breaking news.
