Friday COVID-19 Update: Summit And Wasatch County Case Update

The Utah Department of Health released new numbers Friday afternoon about COVID-19 in the state.

There are 1,246 confirmed cases statewide, up 172 from Thursday. Summit County has 222 cases, an increase of 18 from Thursday, 12 patients have been hospitalized. Wasatch County has 69 confirmed cases, up eight from the day before. Four have been hospitalized. 

Salt Lake County has the most confirmed cases in the state at 541. After Summit County, the county with the highest number of cases is Utah County, with 150 cases.  

UDOH says more than 24,000 people have been tested in Utah. The state has reported seven deaths related to COVID-19.
