Last Thursday, Department of Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke sent recommendations to the White House that included scaling back some of the most prominent national monuments created in the past decades. The details of the report and the schedule for it to become fina, l remain sketchy – but joining Nell and Chris in the first part of the program to provide some additional insights on the announcement is Dave Pacheco, a grassroots organizer with the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance. Then, in the second part of the show, Summit County Councilman, Glen Wright discusses the County’s aggressive plans and efforts to establish renewable energy goals, reduce the county’s carbon emissions and address solid waste management, recycling and disposal plans for the entire county.
