Heber Man Charged In Cache County For Inappropriate Relationship With Teen

A Heber City man who pled guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after his ipod was found with child pornography, has now been charged in Cache County for having an inappropriate relationship with a minor.

19-year-old Grant Johnson of Heber was charged with 12 felonies relating to his relationship with an underage boy. The boy told police about the relationship at the end of May. Johnson was arrested in 2017 for an inappropriate relationship with the same boy. The two became in contact again after the victim learned that Johnson was attending court mandated therapy in Logan where the victim lives.

The victim told officers that on four occasions after Johnson finished therapy sessions the two met to smoke weed and have sex. Additionally, the two exchanged nude photographs with each other. Johnson made his initial appearance in court on Monday, October 7th.

Johnson was also charged earlier this year in Wasatch County. Johnson faced 20 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony, after his iPod was found with images of child pornography. On August 28th he pled guilty to two charges, in exchange 18 counts were dropped. His sentencing on that case will take place later this month.
