Local News Hour - July 16, 2018

  Mountainlands Community Housing Trust Director Scott Loomis has an update on the affordable housing projects underway in Heber City, Silver Creek Village and Discovery. Mountainlands is also celebrating its 25th anniversary in September with a party on the Bob Wells Plaza in Old Town. Kilo Zamora teaches Social Change classes at the University of Utah and is consulting with Park City on the Social Equity  initiative which has been identified by Park City Council as a priority in the community.  Kimball Art Center Curator Nancy Stoakes talks about the new exhibit opening by artist Niki de Staint Phalle. A number of workshops and educational talks are scheduled around this exhibit. Park City Sailing representative Casey Marsh talks about their Women and Wind event which happens every Wednesday from 6- 8 pm at the Jordanelle. Coming up on July 18 is Sally Barkow, an Olympic Sailor.  She'll be out on the Jordanelle sailing with the Women and Wind participants and then providing a Q and A session afterwards.
