Local News Hour - July 20, 2018

Executive Director of the Mountain Trails Foundation, Charlie Sturgis has an update on the Jupiter Peek Steeple Chase, the Upcoming Mid-Mountain Marathon and the progress on new trails opening in the area.Teri Orr, Executive Director of the Park City Performing Arts Institute tells KPCW they want to move the remaining shows scheduled for August and September at Quinn's Junction in to town to the City Park venue. This due to the success of the Grace Potter concert held in City Park on Friday, July 13th. Park City Council member, Lynn Ware Peek, talks about  an innovative agricultural program presented by the Sustainability Department, an open space bond presentation from the Budget Manager, Nate Rockwood and further discussions on bringing the Big Stars Bright Nights Concerts to City Park. Summit County Nursing Director, Carolyn Rose talks about West Nile Virus and Children's immunizations for back to school. 

KPCW reporter Carolyn Murray covers Summit and Wasatch County School Districts. She also reports on wildlife and environmental stories, along with breaking news. Carolyn has been in town since the mid ‘80s and raised two daughters in Park City.
