Utah Department of Health released new numbers Monday afternoon about COVID-19 in the state.
There are 1,675 confirmed cases statewide, up 70 from Sunday. Summit County has 260 cases, an increase of four from Sunday, and 20 patients have been hospitalized. Wasatch County has 79 confirmed cases, up one from the day before. Four have been hospitalized. Salt Lake County has the most confirmed cases in the state at 777. After Summit County, the county with the highest number of cases is Utah County, with 223 cases.
UDOH says more than 33,000 people have been tested in Utah. The state has reported 13 deaths related to COVID-19, an increase of five from Sunday’s report. Four of the patients who died were in long-term care facilities – two in Salt Lake City and two in Utah County. The patients were older than 60 and had underlying medical conditions.
