Monday COVID-19 Update: Six More Cases in Wasatch County

The Utah Department of Health released new numbersMonday afternoon about COVID-19 in the state.

There are 5,317 confirmed COVID-19 cases, up 142, or just under 3%, from Sunday. Summit County has 377 cases, one more than Sunday. The number of hospitalizations in the county has remained at thirty-three since Friday. Wasatch County has 165 confirmed cases, up six from Sunday. Hospitalizations in Wasatch have remained at seven since last Monday.

Salt Lake County has the most confirmed cases in the state at 2,769. Utah County has the second most cases in the state with 1,122. Summit County has the third most. 441 people have been hospitalized statewide.

The number of fatalities due to COVID-19 did not go up since Sunday and remains at 50.

UDOH estimates 2,342 people have recovered from COVID-19. 124,661 people have been tested for the virus.
