Utah saw another 1,201 new COVID-19 cases Monday. Summit County saw 27 new COVID-19 cases. And Wasatch County saw 23.
There were no new deaths reported in Summit or Wasatch counties. But the state reported another two deaths — bringing the total to 574 since the start of the pandemic.
The rolling 7-day average for new cases is 1,494. The average percent of positive test results in the last week is 17%.
There are currently 299 people in the hospital. And 69% of all ICU beds are in use.
Utah Democratic Governor Candidate, Chris Peterson, announced Monday that he is suspending all in-person campaigning events because of the recent spike in cases.
His campaign will continue to run online events discussing issues affecting Utah residents.
