NAC Red, White, & Snow Tickets On Sale

NAC

Tickets are now on sale for the National Ability Center’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

The 16th annual Red, White, & Snow fundraiser will be March 4th through the 7th. NAC Director Kevin Stickelman says this year they added a concert event on Wednesday.

“Kicking off with a concert at O.P. Rockwell's this year by Donavon Frankenreiter and then it concludes on the 7th of March with our gala up at the Montage at Deer Valley,” Stickelman said. “Events that we have, we have Uncorked that takes place at Stein Erickson Lodge. Wine on the Mountain then that Friday, followed by a host event or dinners that Friday evening, and then Saturday of course that gala that I mentioned.”

The Saturday evening gala is an incredibly important fundraiser for the NAC.

“Prices out at about $1,000 a seat that evening, but we do raise almost all of our scholarship money in that one evening in that gala room,” Stickelman continued. “So, it is important. This last year we gave away $550,000 in scholarships through our NAC scholarship process to program participants, and that doesn't include the military funding that comes through as well. So, that's for community members it hits here in the Park City and Salt Lake area. So, yeah that evening is pricey, but it is pricey for a reason. We raise a ton of money to support our programs.”

Before that event will be the 31st Annual Huntsman Cup World Para Alpine Ski Races at Park City Mountain February 4th-6th. The cup is a sanctioned event meaning adaptive athletes will have opportunities to earn points for the world cup circuit and also qualify for the Paralympics.

The NAC is also sponsoring a ParaNorAm event in Sun Valley, Idaho on January 28th. The boardercross event will be the first Paralympic Snowboard event in North America, giving adaptive athletes an opportunity to qualify for the Paralympics. Stickelman also says the NAC is always looking for volunteers to help with lessons, and events. You can learn more about those opportunities here.
