Professional Ski Patrol Association And Park City Mountain Reach Agreement

Park City Professional Ski Patrol Association

After weeks of negotiations Park City Professional Ski Patrol Association and Park City Mountain Resort reached a contract agreement running through November of 2020.

97% of the Park City Professional Ski Patrol Association members voted to approve the agreement. The agreement covers all ski patrollers and mountain safety personnel that work at Park City Mountain resort.

The association highlighted a base wage increase and a compensation scale for specialty skills. Additional compensation is available for those with specialized skills such as avalanche control, dog handlers, chair lift evacuation coordinators, EMT’ and paramedics.

Julia Edwards the business manager for the union said “We were motivated by a desire to retain a highly skilled, professional, and tenured Ski Patrol workforce. We're working diligently to ensure that Patrollers can earn a livable wage, and remain here serving our guests and the Park City community for their entire career,"

Park City Mountain Resort’s Senior Vice President and COO Bill Rock said “We are pleased to be moving forward with a contract for the next two years so that we can continue to deliver on the safe and enjoyable experience that our guests have come to expect at Park City Mountain Resort. A lot of time, energy and effort went into reaching this new agreement, which is in alignment with the overall Vail Resorts policies, programs and compensation practices, and mutually beneficial to both parties. As a Company, we are committed to treating all of our employees fairly and investing in their continued development.”
