Republican State Convention Delivers Primary Candidates, But Not Without Drama

The Republican State Convention was a culmination of a contentious year of GOP infighting. Reports emerged of bizarre speeches and candidates dressed like Lincoln, as well as sniping and arguing over the agenda and convention bylaws. Some delegates heckled one candidate and accused him of being disingenuous because he was sweeping miniature flag confetti from the convention floor. This came after the organizers blasted confetti throughout the hall to bid retiring Senator Orin Hatch farewell.
