Sparking Creation Through Finding Art Everywhere

Sarah Urist Green is the host of the PBS Digital series, The Art Assignment and she joins us today. in light of our Governor’s newest order that Utah’s school children will continue to homeschool through the end of the school year. What this means is both parents, kids, all of us will need to find creative ways to engage our time, space, and minds. Our next guest can help us with that. Sarah’s new book is, You Are An Artist, and she will share art assignments with us that employ the usual things you find in and around the house to help us spark our own creativity. Some of the assignments are rather unusual…. She will ask us to go on a walk and try to find the quietest place we can, or interview our family members about the kind of cars they’ve owned. Let’s bring her on to find out how we transform that into art!

Pete Stoughton is the Brand Relations Manager at Trail and Ultra Running as well as the Director of Programs at CCPC. Basically, he is the behind the scenes guy at TAUR. When he's not getting his TAUR on, or running 2-3,000 miles a year. His own personal running ranges from 100 mile races to track workouts. Nevertheless, a scenic run with friends is were he finds inner peace.
