Summit County Council Canidate Debate June 11, 2020

Malena Stevens & Canice Harte

In case you missed it here is the Summit County Council debate heard live on KPCW June 11, 2020.

There is one open seat for Summit County Council this year.   Council member Kim Carson is not running for re-election.

No republican candidate filed to run, which means the winner of the June primary race between two democratic candidates will be the likely overall winner in November.

Canice Harte and Malena Stevens are the two Democratic candidates.  Both currently serve on the Snyderville Planning Commission, so they’ve had a front-row seat on the issues surrounding development and growth in Summit County.

Harte and Stevens faced off in a debate at the Park City Television studios.  Park Record Editor Bubba Brown was the moderator. Park City Rotary  sponsored the debate.

Known for getting all the facts right, as well as his distinctive sign-off, Rick covered Summit County meetings and issues for 35 years on KPCW. He now heads the Friday Film Review team.
