Summit County Sheriff Department Receives Complaint About Man Bathing In Creek

Summit County Sheriff's Office

Among the recent incidents reported by the Summit County Sheriff’s office, a Basin resident complained of a persistent intruder in need of washing; and a robbery suspect was arrested while protesting his innocence.

The Sheriff’s Department reported that last Wednesday, the 23rd, a resident on Sun Peak Drive complained that an unknown male had, more than once, trespassed on their property and bathed in the nearby creek, although the water is extremely cold.

He was described as being in his 50’s to 60’s, accompanied by a doodle dog, a poodle mix. He had no facial hair, longer hair on his head and was seen wearing slipper with his underwear and a pair of pants, plus a gray coat. The complainant said he had been seen trespassing or bathing on the property since last June. It was unknown who the man was and if he was from the area.

Also that day, a credit union located at Kimball Junction said a theft suspect came into the bank. He complained that after visiting an ATM that had been robbed in late December, his photograph had been posted in an online forum. The suspect, identified as a 30-year-old Park City man, denied stealing any money, but he was taken into custody. Officer will be gathering video footage.
