It’s taken a few days for Summit County expecting mothers to birth the first baby of the new decade. It wasn’t until Friday the 3rd of January that a baby boy was delivered at the Park City Hospital.

Public Relations Specialist Jackie Johnson with Park City and Heber Valley Hospitals says the first baby was born at 12:36 P.M. on Friday at Park City Hospital’s Labor and Delivery department.  Milan Geovanny Gonzalez weighed 8 lbs-3oz and was 20 and a half inches long. Proud parents Arnold Gonzalez and Geisy  Alsaro, along with big sister, Monica, are delighted with the New Year package.

News of a Heber Valley birth is imminent as the Heber Valley Hospital labor and delivery reports a Wasatch County mother in active labor at the time of this story.
