Summit Search And Rescue Looking For South Jordan Man

Summit County Sheriff's Department

Summit County Search and Rescue is looking for a missing Salt Lake Valley resident in the Wasatch-Cache Forest.

According to a press statement from the Sheriff’s Department, they were notified at about 12:30 Thursday about 66-year-old Ray Humpherys a resident of South Jordan. His family told authorities that he had not returned to camp, at about 10:00 pm on Wednesday night, in the Hidden Lake area.

Humpherys was last seen wearing a black jacket and vest, a gray shirt, tan/grayish pants, with a hat. He is six feet, one inch tall, 190 lbs. with short gray hair and is clean shaven.

Search and Rescue personnel are looking on foot and horseback, assisted by a state Dept. of Public Safety helicopter and Great Basin K9 Search and Rescue.
