How Children of Undocumented Immigrants Found Their Voice

Educator and author Stephen Haff, joins Lynn on The Mountain Life today. Haff explains how the children of undocumented immigrants found their voices and now speak truth by collectively translating Don Quixote, the 400-year-old Spanish tale—a story about a traveling dreamer who never gives up. His long running after school program called Still Waters, in a poverty stricken area of Brooklyn, has a waiting list of 200 students. His has written the stories from his school in: Kid Quixotes: A Group of Students, Their Teacher, and the One-Room School Where Everything Is Possible.
