Park City Board Of Ed Considers Future School Calendars

The Park City Board of Education discussed future school calendar guidelines after receiving an update on the district calendar survey.  With 1100 respondents weighing in, school administration has been given clear direction.


Do you want the schools to preserve the winter break in February? How long should it be? What about UEA, now called Fall Recess? One day or two? Should school start before or after Labor Day? The Park City School District is conducting a calendar survey and the chance to give input ends on Wednesday at midnight so if you want to have a voice in future school calendar decisions, go to pcschools.us and take the survey.

School Calendar Changes To Be Voted On In January

The Park City School Board discussed next year’s school calendar in Tuesday’s meeting. They received feedback from the public along with the Park City Education Association representative. Carolyn Murray has this:

The Calendar Committee arrived at two options for next year. Each option presents small changes to this year’s calendar. School Board Member Erin Grady said the committee was made up of district administration, district staff and members of the education association. She said the survey results supports the B version over the A-version.
