Housing Needs Assessment

In recent meeting, the Summit County Council got an updated Housing Needs Assessment and also asked Promontory developers to fulfill an 18-year-old commitment for affordable homes.  Rick Brough spoke with council member Doug Clyde about the situation:

The Summit County Council has received an updated housing needs assessment, which again points out the need for affordable homes.  Council Member Kim Carson says the although study is helpful, it raises important questions and highlights a need for further data, as Rick Brough tells us:

With just about every new housing development in the Snyderville Basin, a question is raised about affordable housing. Given the persistent nature of this issue, the county planners are updating their Housing Needs Assessment. Rick Brough has more.
