PC MARC - Homeschool P.E.

The PC MARC is hosting a weekly, 1 hour Homeschool P.E. Program that will engage your homeschoolers in physical activity while developing meaningful relationships with their peers. In need of reusable bags for the grocery store? Recycle Utah sells cloth grocery tote bags, as well as reusable mesh produce bags to cut down on single-use plastics. The US Para Bobsled Association is looking to identify volunteers for the upcoming season and World Cup Dec 10 - 15. Help load a wheelchair or a sled on to a truck, Drive athletes to the start or even Volunteer as a brakeman in the back of a sled. Dates and times are flexible. Habitat for Humanity is hosting the Women's Financial Education Workshop, a six-week program on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., begining October 3. This is a free opportunity for women to meet and learn how to improve their financial situation. To register, email: finance@habitat-utah.org. Space is limited. 

The on-going, open registration Adult High School and GED prep course has started. Participants can get a diploma or prepare to pass the GED test. The program is for those who did not finish high school, who are 18 years old or older, and whose high school class has graduated. Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The program is held at Park City Learning Academy, 2400 Kearns Blvd. GED Preparation in Spanish is also offered on Tuesday nights. Fall Transit Changes

Service to Silver Lake Village and Empire Pass will resume mid-November. Peak daily service hours to Pinebrook, Highland Estates, Prospector, Park Meadows, Thaynes, and Deer Valley will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The White Electric Xpress will run until midnight. Registration has begun for the USA Luge After-school Program. This program is open to all 8-13 year olds (minimum height 52 inches). Cost is $100 and includes all fees and equipment. Registration deadline is October 12. The program begins October 26 and runs for three consecutive Fridays. Participants must pre-register. St. Lawrence Thrift Store donation center is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and closed most holidays. Drop items off, or call 435-657-0209 for a furniture pick up at your home in Park City or Heber.

Writing is rough, but you don’t have to do it alone. Take your material to the Park City Writing Center at the Park City Library. They will help you brainstorm, and plot or edit and revise. Spend 20-30 minutes with a kind, patient, professional writer. First come, first serve. Every first Wednesday of the month from 3 to 5 p.m. Free.

Join Basin Recreation and the Fun over 50 group for a day out on the trail! Basin Recreation is offering a Nordic ski clinic on Friday February 10th. Learn to Nordic Ski , meet new friends and get a great workout.
