In a downtown Salt Lake City office building  rests the history of the Sundance Institute and all of its programs from summer theater productions to documentary lab program to the film festival.  KPCW's Leslie Thatcher recently toured the archives, which aren't open to the public and has this report.

With at least 14 additional busses - sometimes more - running throughout the Sundance Film Festival, you'll never have to get in a car - nor should you, especially with additional parking restrictions around town. Lynn Ware Peek has more.

This is an anniversary year for a couple of Park City Film Festivals. While Sundance celebrates its 30th year of managing festivals, Slamdance is also celebrating its 20th year. Rick Brough has more.

The Sundance Institute unveiled its line-up of non-competition Premieres for the 2014 Festival, including 11 documentaries and 17 dramatic premieres. Rick Brough has more. 

The Sundance Film Festival this week has been rolling out its line up for the 2014 Festival, which includes dramatic films with star names, hot-button documentaries, a new "Sundance Kids" section, and displays on Main Street in the "New Frontier" program. Rick Brough has more.

Film actor, director, and founder of the Sundance Film Festival Robert Redford was honored by the state of Utah Saturday, with November 9th being proclaimed as Robert Redford day in Utah. KPCW's Leslie Thatcher has more. 

Author and screenwriter Sherman Alexie and director Chris Eyre aired last Thursday night for a free screening of their film "Smoke Signals" which was a hit at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival.

This week, they talked to KPCW's Leslie Thatcher how they came to create a movie that is now considered an independent Native American classic. Rick Brough has more.

It's officially time for Utah residents to start planning for the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. As of Tuesday, registration is open for locals-only Passes and Packages. Rick Brough has more. 

Park City's renewed contract with the Sundance Film festival is taking on a number of different issues, according to Festival co-manager Sarah Pearce. Rick Brough has more.

  While Park City and the Sundance Institute have reached an agreement to extend their festival contract through 2026, a major part of that deal is the resolution of an issue that's been lingering for several years. That's the agreement for Sundance to move off the Martin Luther King holiday when there's a conflict on the calendar. Rick Brough has more. 

The Park City Council today is expected to unanimously approve an extension to the Sundance Film Festival contract through the year 2026. KPCW's Leslie Thatcher reports.
