Just before the Utah Legislature voted to repeal the new tax law Tuesday, a referendum that would have put it to voters in November tallied more than enough signatures to get on the ballot.

At their next scheduled meeting on August 22nd, the Snyderville Planning Commission will look again at a proposed amendment for the Silver Creek Village project. The county's planning staff isn't recommending it, but supporters at a public hearing on Tuesday said it's needed due to a critical need for affordable housing. Rick Brough has more.
