vaccine

Vaccine registration is now open to individuals 18 years or older. Summit County vaccine clinics currently have Moderna and Johnson and Johnson (18+) vaccines. Individuals 16-17 years of age must register for the Pfizer vaccine at a participating Wasatch Front clinic. Go to summitcountyhealth.org for more information and to register.

Wasatch County residents who are 12 and older now qualify to receive COVID19 vaccine through the Wasatch County Health Department.    The Health Department offers the Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson  COVID-19 vaccines. Pfizer is the only vaccine currently approved for individuals 12-17 years old.  Call 435-657-3276 for an appointment.  Visit vaccinefinder.org to find other providers that offer the Pfizer vaccine.

The Summit County Health Department is asking the residents to be patient with the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine, which has been sluggish so far.

Deputy Health Director Phil Bondurant says the department shares the frustration since it’s getting a limited amount of vaccines. And in the meantime, Gov. Spencer Cox has modified his priorities policy to vaccinate everyone in the state over the age of 70.
