Park City Yoga Studio

After owning, operating and teaching yoga  for the last 15 years, at Park City Yoga Studio, Lisa Needham is moving on to pursue her other passions -- singing and performing. She has sold the studio to Park City resident Robin Marrouche. KPCW’s Leslie Thatcher has more.

Since leaving the Kimball, Robin Marrouche has gone on to run the Susan Schwarz gallery on Main St. She’s also looking forward to owning and operating the yoga studio with her sister in law Nadime Moukarem.

Utah State Parks

Yoga is becoming wildly popular around the Globe. Statistics show nearly 37 million people practice in the US alone. Projections show that 55 million will take up the activity by the year 2020. Utah State Parks have partnered with a private Outdoor Yoga Company and will offer the chance to practice at some of Utah’s most scenic state parks.  Carolyn Murray has this:

Devoted To Children D2C

Devoted to Children was established in 2012 with a mission to care for Haitian children left alone after the earthquake.  The organization provides the financial resources to care for children in a family-like home setting.  A Park City resident is holding fundraising events to help these and other children in the community. Trailside Students Meditating

Breathing, visualization, active listening and some yoga poses are part of the Trailside Elementary School Mindfulness Pilot Program .It’s held weekly for about 20 minutes per grade level and it’s funded by a grant from the Park City Ed Foundation.  Carolyn Murray visited the school and has this:
