Wednesday COVID-19 Update: Case Numbers Hold For Two Days In A Row In The Wasatch Back

Utah Department of Health released new numbers Wednesday afternoon about COVID-19 in the state. 


There are 2,542 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide, up 130 from Tuesday. Summit County has 306 cases, the same as the previous two days. Twenty-nine patients have been hospitalized, up one from Tuesday. Wasatch County has 102 confirmed cases, the same as yesterday. Five have been hospitalized.

 

Salt Lake County has the most confirmed cases in the state at 1,285. Utah county has the second most cases in the state with 352, Summit County has the third most. 221 people have been hospitalized statewide.

 

UDOH says 47,614 people have been tested in Utah. 20 residents have died as a result of COVID-19, one more than the day before.
