Chris and guest co-host Peter Metcalf discuss state legislative proposals with Ashley Soltysiak, chapter director for the Utah Sierra Club.  The Sierra Club has identified a number of high-priority bills under consideration by both the House and the Senate that may impact Utah’s land, air and water. Next, they turn their attention to another state legislature, Idaho, and its recent decision to weaken and strip out the teaching of climate change science to public school students.  Glen Branch, policy director at the National Center for Science Education, joins the conversation to discuss not only how and why this happened in Idaho, but why more and more anti-science legislation is being written around the country.
