Monday COVID-19 Update

Utah Department of Health released new numbers Monday afternoon about COVID-19 in the state.  


There are 6,362 confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide, up 443 over the weekend. Summit County has 386 cases up two over the weekend. Wasatch County has 183 confirmed cases, up 10 over the weekend. No new hospitalizations occurred in either county since May 1.   

Salt Lake County has the most confirmed cases in the state at 3,365. Utah County has the second most cases in the state with 1,358, Summit County has the third most. 517 people have been hospitalized statewide, although there are only 92 patients currently hospitalized.  

UDOH says 150,585 people have been tested in Utah. 68 residents have died as a result of COVID-19, an additional seven over the weekend.
