Monika Guendner / KPCW

The management of KPCW has announced it's come to a landmark agreement with a Salt Lake media group. In exchange for KPCW moving one click away from its historic home on the FM dial, the station is acquiring an FM station in Salt Lake City as an asset, is improving its broadcast infrastructure and amping up its coverage.

Of course, it's all subject to the approval of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), but General Manager Larry Warren and KPCW Board Chair Bob Richer said the station's move from 91.9  to 91.7 FM will be well-publicized, and likely occur in the late winter or early spring of 2016. Rick Brough has more.
