Suspected Drug Trafficker Stays In Jail

The Summit County Attorney's Office obtained an Emergency Writ from a Third District Court judge on Friday, to keep a suspected drug trafficker confined in the County Jail. The County filed a petition because Justice Court Judge Shauna Kerr declined to authorize detention, feeling the arresting officer had not sufficiently explained why the suspect was pulled over in I-80.
