Police Evacuate Snow Country Condominiums in Domestic Violence Incident

Thursday afternoon just after three o'clock, Park City police responded to a 911 call at Snow Country Condominiums.  According to a press release from the city, a domestic violence suspect had barricaded himself in a room and was making suicidal threats.   Police safely removed the victim from the incident and the suspect was taken into custody just after five o'clock.

There were several police and Summit County Sheriff vehicles on the scene, along with a fire truck and an ambulance.  Deer Valley Drive remained open to traffic during the incident, but police did temporarily close traffic on the north end of City Park.  They also evacuated neighbors.  One condominium owner told KPCW she was supposed to meet a contractor at her condominium, but police would not allow her to go in.  The scene appeared to be clear by 5:30pm.
