The Park City Chamber Bureau is hosting hospitality training this week. They hope to attract as many people as possible by offering two sessions on Thursday.  Carolyn Murray has this:

Member Services Manager, Heather Cook said they received requests from some of their chamber partners to hold the hospitality training. Doug Kennedy is the guest speaker and he’s known nationally for his expertise in customer service and hospitality training.

“Anyone who’s interacting with a guest coming to Park City. Maybe you’re likely to be the first person who they interact with or you’re the person they’re going to come to for questions about the area or what to do or what to see or just questions about their stay here. Those people, we definitely want to see on Thursday. Really valuable for anyone whose already been in the industry or might be new to the area or new to the industry. There will be something for everyone, so…”

The training is available to members of the Park City Chamber Bureau at no charge. They’re also offering an incentive to non-members who want to attend.

“If you are not a member, to help cover the cost of the event, it’s $50-dollars a person. But, if you come on board as a chamber member before the end of the year, we’ll reimburse that cost."

Communications Director, Dan Howard will supply a session on the history of Park City which Cook said will be beneficial for new comers.

There are two session on Thursday. The first is in the morning from nine to noon and the second is one to four. It is free for Chamber Bureau Members. There’s lots of room so groups are welcome. Cook asks people to Go to Visit Park City. Org to rsvp. Non-chamber members are welcome to attend for a reimbursable fee of $50-dollars.
