A 54-year-old man was arrested in Summit County after law enforcement officers found 50 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.

According to a probable cause statement Utah Highway Patrol pulled over 54-year-old Oscar Alexis Lustre on Saturday evening after a law enforcement officer observed his SUV had a very dark tint on the front window, suspecting it may be a window tint violation.

The officer pulled Lustre over at the Promontory exit ramp off I-80. After speaking with Lustre the officer became suspicious he may be involved in criminal activity. A K-9 unit was called in and the dog indicated there might be drugs in the driver door.

The officers searched the car and discovered the 50 pounds of marijuana along with two pipes and several straws that had white residue on them. A test showed that the residue on the straws was methamphetamines.

Lustre was also given a field sobriety test and the officer noted several clues of impairment. Lustre was arrested for DUI, Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Third-Degree Felony.
