A Utah Surgeon was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly stole nearly $1,000 worth of gifts at a party over the weekend.
On Friday 64-year-old Utah resident Dr. Kenneth Jee entered a private function at Montage Deer Valley and took multiple gift items worth over $900 according to a probable cause statement.
Park City Police was made aware of the burglary on Saturday and on Sunday the complainant called Park City police saying they had detained Jee for the theft. A Park City officer met Jee at the hotel and asked him for his ID which he said he didn’t have on hand.
Jee then gave the officer a different name and later a false social security number. When the officer saw the search didn’t match, he confronted Jee again who then gave him his correct information.
Jee was arrested for 3rd degree Felony burglary and two misdemeanor counts of giving false personal information to a peace officer. Jee works as an Orthopedic Surgeon in Layton.
