Wasatch High School Graduation occurs Wednesday night. The event which will include a live stream and fireworks at dark.

Wasatch High School’s class of 2020 will not be able to gather together to celebrate their final year in public education, but Wasatch County School District and volunteers have been working hard to make the occasion still memorable.

The Wasatch High virtual graduation will be streamed live at 5:00 pm on a variety of channels including the WHS Youtube page and wasatchstingtv.com

Those involved in the ceremony include Jr. ROTC, the school choir, administrators and three of the schools valedictorians chosen to speak at the ceremony.

The virtual celebration will also feature videos of graduates walking across the stage and picking up their diplomas and a video where they introduce themselves and their families.

Those videos were recorded over three days last week as seniors arrived at Wasatch High in their cap and gowns. After checking temperatures at the front door students went into the building where they were filmed walking across a stage and picking up a diploma. While there they also received gifts and had their photo taken.

Those photos have since been printed and placed on the lawn in front of the Heber City Police Building located on Main Street.

At 8:20 in the evening graduates will turn their tassels and wait for fireworks that should be visible in most of the valley starting at dark.
