The Utah Department of Transportation is continuing its bridgework near the Mayflower exit on U.S. 40 near Jordanelle Reservoir. And as crews prepare the area for future development, they’ll continue work on overpasses and under-crossings to facilitate ensuing growth needs. They also are preparing for a future climbing lane in this same area.
On Tuesday and Thursday, UDOT will shift U.S. 40 westbound traffic to a single lane of travel near the interchange with the Mayflower exit. Crews are placing support beams, bridge materials and deck surfaces for the new bridges.
Nearby residents should plan on additional noise, vibrations, and particulates in the area. For cyclists and pedestrians, restrictions will be in place during daylight hours Monday through Friday this week. Cycling and pedestrian access will reopen for the weekend.

Elsewhere in the Wasatch Back, crews will begin work on U.S. 189 in Provo Canyon on the bridges near the entrance to Nunn’s Park. This project begins Tuesday night, Aug. 18. Traffic will be limited to one lane in both directions from Tuesday night until Friday afternoon, Aug. 21. These restrictions will be in place 24 hours a day.
