Park City Police Calls For Service: Hide and Seek with Moose, Rooftop Nightclub

Park City Police Department

Summer solstice shenanigans are upon us! Park City officers were called to numerous summer outings in the last week.

Among the calls police received were several noise complaints. Last Monday at 10 p.m., someone called to report loud music playing from a DJ booth on their neighbor’s roof on Daly Ave.

A caller last Wednesday afternoon reported construction next door on Park Ave was so loud she couldn’t hear her zoom meeting.

There were also a couple of strange encounters with wildlife. A person with three others called into dispatch Tuesday around 10 p.m. while they were hiding from a moose at the top of King Road. The person reported they were on a cliff “hiding in a rock.” The responding officers assisted the group back to safety.

Another caller, who lives on Rising Star Ln., found a deer dead next to their hot tub on Wednesday afternoon. They didn’t think anything was suspicious but wanted help to get the carcass removed.

The police department also received several complaints of mountain bikers who weren’t following traffic laws near Main Street at 5th Street. Officers conducted a directed patrol in response.
